Me:

I was born on the South Side of Chicago to a very cohesive COMMUNITY.  Despite tremendous challenges to health and family, it was a VILLAGE that brought us through.

 

Today, it seems "neighbor" has been taken out of "neighborhood" and what we're left with is "the hood".  A place where hopes are aborted and eye contact is avoided.  "Divide and conquer" in real time.

 

Rayelity Check Ministries, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was born of that desire to "restore the village" so children AND their families can THRIVE.
