When I was a child, my Grandparents were a crucial part of my extended family. But,

many young people today lack a link to the generations that preceded them. At the same time, so many of our elderly are packed away, virtually forgotten in nursing homes.

Through theatrical and journalism training, YOUTH REBIRTH "graduates" will take their newly "rebirthed" selves to the next level, writing and performing productions for the entertainment of residents of nursing homes.

After which, the students, put on their journalism hats and interview the seniors about their own life histories-- thereby benefiting and enriching both parties with much needed understanding and connection.
